Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Today, I started re-reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire again. I have to say, The Goblet of Fire is one of my favorite books and movies in the Harry Potter family. What's not to like about it?
The beginning is very interesting. It starts off with old Frank Bryce, and the long abandoned Riddle House. What Frank obviously thought were boys playing tricks on him, turned out to be Lord Voldemort, Wormtail (Peter Pettigrew), and later Nagini the snake. Voldemort did indeed appear very weak during this scene. At this point hardly anything was left of his human form. Did Voldemort even have a soul? Only J.K. Rowling knows!
The peculiar part is how Voldemort was so insanely evil, that in the process, he mudered his own father and grandparents. He could of had a family, but it was Dumbledore's belief that Voldemort never had a friend, nor did he wish for one. How odd...

"I AM LORD VOLDEMORT..."

Many people often think of the famous phrase Voldemort said in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. "I AM LORD VOLDEMORT..."
If found it interesting how this name comes from Tom Marvolo Riddle. Voldemort was angry and ashamed that he was of half-blood wizardry, although he doesn't want to admit it. Many indeed thought that Voldemort was a pure-blood wizard. He fooled some Death Eaters in the process as well. What I find interesing about Voldemort's power is that it was unquestionable. Nobody could say an opinion that wouldn't resolve in Voldemort having their neck.

The interesting part really is, is that Voldemort was the true weak one. He separated his soul into seven, as said in the Half-Blood Prince. He was so thirsty for power, that he was willing to kill, and split his soul into seven. Once your soul is into that many pieces, you are hardly human anymore. That's why Voldemort hardly looked human. With slits for a nose, red beady eyes, bald, and skin as white as the pale moonlight.
Voldemort drank unicorn blood, giving him a half-life, a cursed life. Firenze told this to Harry in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Voldemort had nothing on his mind but power, and on the way, he lost every scanty part of humanity he had left. Dumbledore was wise not to let him have the Defense Against the Dark Arts position. Dumbledore was the only one who truly knew about Voldemort's past, and what brought him to be the killer he was presently. Voldemort was definitely a peculiar character.

The End of a Masterpiece

As we all now, J.K. Rowling finished her last Harry Potter book in the Summer of 2007. I'm sure that like me, most of the Harry Potter fans were devastated that such a wonderful series had come to it's end. But, that doesn't mean that the legend won't live on. J.K. Rowling was a phenomenon, and her books will be cherished for years to come.

The legend, and the fans will continue, although the wonderful series has reached it's end. It will be remembered for it's originality, adventure, and hope. The Harry Potter series was like none other, and it will surely never be forgotten...
